Interview with Aril

Aril ("Aril") interviewed on Tuesday, 20 March.

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

Aril : I started in my childhood to change things. Especially when I started to think more about things that bother me in a jar and I try to fix them, I think my designer identity has begun to emerge.

How did you become a designer?

Aril : I decided to create a design field of my own in 2013. What is important here is not to be a big or small place, but to be a place where I feel much more comfortable in the design process. Besides, I decided to establish a ceramic workshop. To be able to produce the transformed state of my designs.

What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?

Aril : When you look at a product, it's the additional value you can afford. Among the starting and ending points is the simplest line drawing you can imagine, the most creative you can think of.

Which emotions do you feel when designing?

Aril : Interior design and industrial design.

What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?

Aril : My first professional design, Oblique. I realized that I had to deal with design work more seriously.

What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?

Aril : Bathroom equipment.

What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?

Aril : Materials with plastics that I can shape by hand. I am delighted to be in your business in the process of production and design. Technology is the design programs I use in the design process.

You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects?

Aril : I feel more creative when I am alone in crowded environments.

What is your day to day look like?

Aril : When I look at the product from the user's point of view I think what they expect from the product and focus on this point.

How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter?

Aril : Excitement, happiness, desire.

How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design?

Aril : I am extremely peaceful and I feel the happiness of success.

How do you decide if your design is ready?

Aril : By solving the issue in the simplest way and solving it without any important details, it is a success.

What is your biggest design work?

Aril : I look at how close the product is to designing. It is also important how simple, functional and aesthetic it is when performing this function.

Who is your favourite designer?

Aril : Convenience, innovation, and sustainable energy are all considered at the optimum level.

Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture?

Aril : I believe that in the future there will be more gatherings around the virtual reality. I think that the product to the users and the producers can only be presented as a final product in the design phase.

Would you tell us more about your work culture and business philosophy?

Aril : My last presentation was in TUYAP in 2016. I want to do a work in Bodrum in the summer of 2017.

What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?

Aril : The closest answer to this is "human" for me. I feed from the crowd. I am more creative when I am alone in the crowd.

What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award?

Aril : Design style is actually a combination of stylish, simple and functional foundations.
