Interview with Yana Grishchuk

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

YG : My career has always lived between two worlds: the intuitive world of art and the strategic world of design. For more than 15 years, I focused on the power of visual communication: how design can shape perception, build trust, create desire, and help brands speak with clarity. I work across design, art direction, marketing, and fine art, combining aesthetic sensitivity with strategic thinking. My background combines creative practice with a strong professional foundation. I hold a Master’s degree in Graphic Design and have worked across branding, marketing design, digital advertising, eCommerce, product communication, photography, and art. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with international studios, cultural projects, and consumer brands. One of the important chapters of my professional experience was working with Crosby Studios, an internationally recognized creative practice with headquarters in New York and Paris. Through this collaboration, I contributed to projects connected to major brands and names such as Baccarat, Westwing, and India Mahdavi, including design materials for physical spaces, product collections, and cultural events. I have also worked with U.S.-based brands in eCommerce, lifestyle, pet care, optics, wellness, and food and beverage, including Angelino’s Coffee, Basepaws, Fielmann USA brands, ORSYN, and others. My work often focuses on helping brands communicate more clearly and beautifully across digital campaigns, advertising, email marketing, landing pages, and visual systems. In addition to my design work, I also have an active art practice. I work with photography, performance, and sculpture, exploring materiality, emotion, vulnerability, and the relationship between control and accident. This artistic side of my practice deeply influences my design approach, making me more attentive to atmosphere, symbolism, texture, and the emotional impact of visual decisions. Today, I see myself as a multidisciplinary designer, art director, and artist working at the intersection of aesthetics and strategy. My work is driven by the belief that strong visual communication can shape perception, build trust, create desire, and make complex ideas more accessible.
