Yi-Sin Huang ("YH") interviewed on Sunday, 18 March.

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

YH : Almost 10 years experienced working as a designer. Previous experiences were related in machinery and product development. Finally, I built up my own company , STARTS JUMP CO., LTD. to fulfill my dream work.

How did you become a designer?

YH : I like to build up things by my own hand.

What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?

YH : Capable of mechanical structure design and metal processing process.

What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?

YH : Mechanical design engineering background

What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?

YH : Experiences were related in machinery and product development. Creating a product to the users them to directly operate and feel it has always been my dream and original goal.

What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?

YH : Do it by hand before making a drawing

You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects?

YH : Think wide but keep simple on the product

What is your day to day look like?

YH : Experience the different things from the different field

How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter?

YH : To look at the point on what really matters

How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design?

YH : Things to make our life better then it is good design

How do you decide if your design is ready?

YH : When I think it is time to hear people's response

Who is your favourite designer?

YH : Dieter Rams

Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture?

YH : Not to judge and do not picky. Religion in Buddhism

Would you tell us more about your work culture and business philosophy?

YH : Humble & honest

What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?

YH : To make more useful project loop up into the society
