Interview with HUIZE/MA

HUIZE/MA ("HUIZE/MA") interviewed on Wednesday, 15 August.

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

HUIZE/MA : I was studying computer science and technology. I didn't think I would become an interior designer at first. But when I didn't enter this business, I was already interested in designing this industry. I think the designer is very Meaningful career. By chance, I picked up the brush. At that moment, I had a strong love for design, and there were many novel ideas about space. Slowly, design has become my job. Now I am my own business. I have more than 10 years of design work experience. I often remind myself to cherish and learn to become a more valuable designer.

How did you become a designer?

HUIZE/MA : Because my heart has pursued beauty, so fate guided me to the interior design industry. The work experience of the design company that I used to work for, as well as the knowledge I have learned from other designers, is the reassurance that makes me more determined to do the career of the designer. In fact, I originally wanted to be an advertiser. I was lucky to become an interior designer. My inner pursuit of a better life inspired my interest in art and design.

What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?

HUIZE/MA : Project positioning, budget and the combination of local culture and design of the project. Our team will use the latest design software to reflect our solutions with the best results and report them to Party A.

Which emotions do you feel when designing?

HUIZE/MA : When you encounter a good project, you will cherish it very much. Of course, when you don’t come up with your own strength, you will feel depressed and self-criticism.

What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?

HUIZE/MA : The computer professional background has provided some help for my design work. The support, encouragement and understanding of the family is also the biggest driving force for my career growth.

What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?

I have the ability to set up MYP design office. I think I am lucky. Although there are many hardships, everything is very worthwhile. Regarding the future, I want to form a strong, high-end design team to do some high-end meaningful projects.

What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?

HUIZE/MA : Persevere in persistence, learn to be calm and persistent, and you will certainly get a lot of surprises.

You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects?

HUIZE/MA : Don't give up the pursuit of the heart, keep the original design, and go further and further. Business and design, when there is always a choice, learning how to balance is the key.

What is your day to day look like?

HUIZE/MA : In fact, every day I am very ordinary, I work most of the time, I will take some time to spend with my family and keep a good habit of reading.

How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter?

HUIZE/MA : In the age of network information, it brings a lot of convenience, including information communication at work, which is very fast and complete. I will pay attention to all kinds of fresh information and new design projects to ensure that I am exposed to the latest design news and follow up on the latest design trends. Design magazines are also a very good way to understand.

How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design?

HUIZE/MA : Good design is not standard, but it must be different and have a certain influence on society.

How do you decide if your design is ready?

HUIZE/MA : Before the project is launched, there will be a contact time in the previous period. I will fully understand the actual situation of the project and the needs of Party A. When you are sure, you will take over. I like to do things with certainty. Once I have confidence in my heart, I can definitely put good ideas on the ground.

What is your biggest design work?

HUIZE/MA : Every project is a work that we treat with care. The output guarantee is high quality, comfortable and brings people to think.

Who is your favourite designer?

HUIZE/MA : I have the opportunity, I want to sit down quietly, and have a space dialogue with Zaha, regardless of age, technical differences and so on.

Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture?

HUIZE/MA : Most of the time I am two points and one line, the company goes home and turns to switch. Life I strive to be simple and effective, without the temperature. Shenzhen is an inspiring city. I stay in this city to experience more cutting-edge technology and resources. Good design will also drive the society to a better position.

Would you tell us more about your work culture and business philosophy?

HUIZE/MA : MYP Design Firm advocates a relaxed and harmonious working atmosphere, but it is not bound to be ruthless. We have a team working together. I created the MYP team. As long as they are careful enough and do not make low-level mistakes, they can live in harmony.I have been looking for a resonance in design, and I hope that more people who have resonance can come together.MYPDESIGN is a new generation of ambitions. It is determined to be the forerunner of interior design culture, providing a full range of indoor visual effects solutions for mid- to high-end enterprises and users with ideas and individuality.

What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?

HUIZE/MA : Meaningful projects, I feel that free design is also a matter of responsibility and very willing. I really appreciate the artists who participated in humanitarian projects. They are great. I like some designs that can bring me inner touch. It is special, it has nothing to do with time and space or materials or furniture. I am very willing to offer many opportunities to my designers, artists and architects.

What positive experiences you had when you attend the A’ Design Award?

HUIZE/MA : Participate in design awards and competitions in addition to examining your own design abilities, motivating yourself and affirming yourself. It is also a good opportunity for the brand itself to show and promote, so that more people can see the design, understand the design and pay attention to the team brand. I am very honored and grateful to be the designer of this day.
