Yangyang Liao ("YL") interviewed on Friday, 20 October.

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

YL : I have been studying and working for 8 years, and have worked at JD.com, Lenovo, Xiaomi, and Rococo Design in China.

How did you become a designer?

YL : accidentally

What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?

YL : Free expression, display of thinking. Mainly relying on dynamic effects to express the product at a deeper level, rather than traditional two-dimensional visual effects.

Which emotions do you feel when designing?

YL : I mainly feel the passion that design brings to my life, and I am able to clearly reflect on the development of this society and human beings.

What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?

YL : Engineers have shaped my ability to think about design usability, while art skills have established my fundamental aesthetic abilities. PC software has established basic design expression capabilities.

What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?

YL : My design career is constantly learning, learning different disciplines such as engineering, physics, mathematics, art, history, geography, etc., and integrating different knowledge dimensions into my design thinking.

What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?

YL : Maintain passion and original intention.

YL : returning to nature is a characteristic of Chinese design.

YL : Design for the bottom of society and devote oneself to public welfare undertakings
